I'm the same way, todays smoke will be the last for a few days. Is the butt going in the Trager or Bradley.
What is CT?
Man NePas you get up mighty early, half hr earlier than me. ;D
Mmmmmmmmmmm CT injected and CT rubbed pork butt, I can almost taste it.
Well your ole Butt should be tired. :D
Glad you are gonna rest a few days.
Merry Christmas to ya nepas.
Way too cold in the garage for any of the Bradleys to do this butt. Dont want to be up all night, Traeger has a hot rod igniter out, way too cold for me to be on my back fixin it. So it went into my smoker/roaster. Did hickory wood for the smoke.

Already a pretty color on that butt.
You need to take some time off. Maybe that fire rod going out was just what the doctor ordered. ;)
I've got 2 easy smokes scheduled, one today and one tomorrow. Only drawback is they are calling for winds up to 45 mph over the next 24 hours. Oh well........

Looks like you had to go with plan "C" and you dont have to go outside.
Plan "A" Bradley...Not
Plan "B" Traeger...Not
Plan "C" Roaster smoker thing...Check
Gotta love it. Still kickin my self for not gettin one of those.

Yeah them winds dont work good with the Mak i bet either. Do you have any snow? Supposed to get about 4" here tonite.
I was at Freds Musicandbbq the other night. That thermal blanket that on his Green Mtn grill is pretty nice. Asked him if he ever heard of CT or Scotts, He said no. He's an egg head too :D

If you use the wood for some smoke you still have to do it outside. But its a constant heat surround for the meat, Sorta like the BE concept.
And just about everyplace says this item is no longer available. Rival ROS180 KC Food Smoker/Roaster
Heck NePas I would have thunk putting it on the stove under the range hood would have done the trick of removin the smoke.
No snow yet. 50 degrees here and supposed to rain about 2 inches then turn off cold. So far the wind hasn't kicked up so I started today's smoke. It'a short one so I think I'll get this one in before the weather screws me up.

Pulled with an IT of 195*
