Title: Con Yeager sausage kits?
Post by: Bremen on December 24, 2009, 10:40:54 AM
Has anyone had experience with the Con Yeager sausage kits in the orange bag?  I picked up their summer sausage kit at Gander Mountain but I haven't found anyone's feedback on them, good or bad.  It was pretty inexpensive so I'm hoping the quality is OK.  The included fibrous casings smell terrible, but I'm guessing that's normal.  I haven't soaked them yet of course, maybe it will improve then.

I am new to sausage making but I have the grinder and stuffer standing by, and some coarse ground venison and pork fat in the freezer.
