Post by: firstwave on December 25, 2009, 03:39:24 AM
:) its nasty out right now...snow snow and more snow....my bradley smoker can't get over 88 degrees lol...so I guess I am cold smoking this thing.......so the question is......I cold smoke this thing for the same 4 hours I would if cooking it full time then shove it in the oven? will this work or just smoke for 2 hours and oven it?

I would smoke it for 2 hours then put it in the oven. How cold is it by you? How big is the turkey and did you put it in the smoker straight from the refrigerator?

88 degrees inside the Bradley?  Sounds like something is wrong to me.  What is the air temp?

Agree with smoke 2 hours and then take it inside if the best you're going to get is 88 degrees.  Otherwise you risk growing some "nasties" on your turkey and you don't want to make folks sick.
