Title: Burgers?
Post by: Paddlinpaul on December 31, 2009, 07:55:27 AM
I was wondering if anyone has ever smoked hamburgers (maybe seasoned with some Montreal steak spice) for a while and then froze them. I was thinking it may be good and when wanting to eat them, thaw them out and throw them on the grill. Is there a health risk to doing this? I just thought it would make burgers that much better than plain old grilling them.

Do burgers all the time, smoke for an hour or so than straight to the grill to finish!  Never smoked then frozen, suppose one could if using a cold smoke.  I'd be a little worried about hitting the danger zone!
