Title: Is there a mountable temp probe for the Maverick?
Post by: TTNuge on January 02, 2010, 07:02:44 AM
When I ordered my Auber PIP I got the wall mounted temp probe and drilled a hole in the back of the OBS and I'd like to do the same for the smoker temp probe of my Maverick ET-73.  Is there a probe that will work, has anyone done something along these lines?  I don't mind having it dropped down in through the vent but I would sure like a nice clean installation and having it mounted on the back wall like the Auber probe.

Thanks in advance,

Trent

You could go to an automotive store and get a rubber firewall grommet. Then just drill the appropriate size hole and feed the ET probe threw.
