Title: Smoking and coronary artery disease
Post by: goblism on January 07, 2010, 06:31:02 PM
Well I am fairly new to this forum, but I was studying for my board examinations and I was studying the heart, particularly coronary artery disease and I read that smoking doubles your chances of developing coronary artery disease.  I than read that nitrates are a form of treatment for coronary artery disease.  So does this mean that if we smoke cured food that we are sitting in a neutral state?

(I know its the wrong kind of smoking...but thought this info would apply to this forum)

Wonder what your doctor would say if you said you were getting enough nitrates in your diet from eating cured foods!
