Was lookin around the web to find out how to dry a few clumped up spices ( I was just gonna put em in the dehydrator) and found this http://www.dryspice.com/index.html (http://www.dryspice.com/index.html) Anybody ever heard of it?
I clicked that link...
In the middle of the "testimonials" - seriously - there's this one:
"What a ridiculous idea! I'm 64 yrs. old and have never had spices clump up, lose flavor, etc..." - Robert Maletta

Well she is just a blessed person! Probably has no ear wax, toe jam, or naval lint!
carnie, I don't have a big problem with so I just nuke mine in short burst.
Brown sugar is the only thing that ever gives me trouble.
The nuker fixes it.
On Facebook this is the image of Robert Maletta (no kidding~~!)

Drying your own and ending of with a high end product is rooted in the quality of the item you are drying. As far a clumping up I would dare say the desagent(sp) was not changed out or reused to many times.
There are only a few stores that have it.
aren't these about the same thing?

Wouldn't mind having some of them, but a 100?
At least if they are in the same pkg, they shouldn't clump up. ;D

If you are interested we could split'em......course the shipping cost would probably be triple
the price of the product by the time they got where they were goin! :'(
I have some of those.
You have to keep them in a vac bag or they go bad.

I was wondering about that.
I am going there Monday!
I wouldn't mind splitting a pkg.
I could vac pak and send in a small mailer.
Sounds good to me, pm me and let me know how to get you the funds.

Will send you PM on Monday after I know that they have them.
I will split the cost of them and cost of shipping down the middle.
Is that fair?
Sure does, do you need to add a little for the vac pac?

I had to toss more than half of mine away. Been using them on and off for almost a year and keeping them Vac Packed. I made up a bunch jerky to send off to my son and forgot to reseal them right away. A few hours later, I picked up the bag and discovered they were getting very hot. They spent the night outside and then into the trash.
Haven't reordered any yet.
