Greetings all,
Been trying to source one of these probes, with little success. I have a local fellow, but he's out of stock until the spring.
I DID find a past post where Home Hardware had them available, but this weekend I learned they have discontinued stocking the unit.
Amazon.ca don't sell them, Amazon.com wants my right arm for shipping to Canada.
Appreciate any leads...
Welcome to the forum MacPete.
You could check Ebay as they has sellers here that ship to Canada.
W E L C O M E to the Forum MacPete!

I got a Maverick ET 71 at a Home Hardware out in Alberta, I am sure they could get you an ET 73 as well.

Bryan, you've got mail ;) Thanks Lumpy
Also available and in stock at Johnstones in Vancouver. They ship Canada Post so it's reasonable.

Hi
The ET-71 is in stock on the shelf at my local HH.($32.99) I'm not sure how the ET71 differs from the 73.
However Superstore have a PC single probe remote for $23.99. you may wish to look into it.

Hi maritimer555
Welcome to the forum.
The difference between the two is that the ET-71 is a single probe, which will only monitor the meat or the cabinet temperature, depending on how you use it. The ET-73 has two probes. One designed to monitor the internal temperature of the meat, and the second one designed to monitor the cabinet temperature.
I'm in BC. I got mine from yard and pool. I justified the shipping cost by buying a whole crap load of other stuff too. It's like Christmas day in a box!
Sorry to steal the thread, but has anyone done tests to see if you can run two ET-73 at the same time?
Thanks
Mike

I have not tested this myself, but I seem to recall someone else doing it, and I think the answer is no. You can run an ET-7 at the same time as an ET-73, though.
Mike
FLB has it correct as I understand it. I have 2 ET73's and you can't use them at the same time. I don's have an ET7 but I do remember someone posting that you can run an ET73 with an ET7.
Mike
I run my ET-73 and ET-71 together. (different frequencies)
I have the ET-7 and ET-73 and the both can be used at the same time.
I got my ET 71 at Canadian Tire a year or so ago.
I noticed them an the shelf last week when I was checking out a rib rack ( later found the rack at Walmart on sale for $4.25) !
