Title: Ka Honu has left the building
Post by: Ka Honu on January 11, 2010, 11:29:30 AM
SWMBO and I are outta this afternoon here for a couple of weeks R&R and I probably won't be on line until we return (that's part of the first "R").  Anyway, I was thinking that when someone "disappears" for a couple of weeks, sometimes people start worrying and looking for them to make sure they're okay.  Should we start a "planned outage log" or something where we can say we'll be gone for an extended period so that doesn't happen?  Just a thought - if you guys like the idea I'm sure Brian can come up with a suitable format.

Aloha all.

Hey I'm up for that arnie that sounds like a road trip. I mean after all he lives in paradise and he won't be there anyway. He might have to put locks on his freezer to keep us out of his smoked food.  ;D ;D ;D

Okay, we made it back in time to see the last few minutes of regulation and the OT in the Saints-Vikings game.  I'm guessing Brett woke up feeling a lot older than 40 this morning.

Great trip - spent a pre-cruise day in Hollywood (FL) and one post-cruise in Islamadora & Key Largo.  You Floridians have almost as much tacky tourist stuff as we do (and some great bars to help it seem less like junk).

The cruise was great and the Chopin & Macallan flowed copiously.  Came home to a fried motherboard and a broken washing machine but that's all minor.  Life is good.

I'll probably be slow on posting and cooking for the next few days while I get caught up with "must-dos" but will work myself back into the swing eventually.

You never heard about the genie in the lamp who offered a guy one wish?  The guy said he'd always wanted to go to Hawaii but hated to fly or sail so could the genie build a highway.  The genie said it was way too difficult and told him to make another wish.  The guy says, "Well, I've always wanted to understand women."  The genie's response: "Two lanes or four?"

Sorry but we were there for one afternoon and evening. Knowing on which side my bread is buttered, I spent the entire time catering to SWMBO's whims and didn't look up, call, or visit anybody.  Had I done differently, I'd have had my head handed to me.
