Hi,
I just picked my Bradley Original Smoker today from Bass Pro. I have a long history of using a gas grill with indirect heat and wood chunks to make great BBQ when I lived in Phoenix. Alas, my old method did not work well when I moved back to Colorado. For various reasons, I abandoned the gas grill and bought a Bradley today. Seasoned it this afternoon and afterward smoked everything I could find in the fridge, including hard boiled eggs, sharp cheddar, kosher salt, baloney and oysters. The Bradley needs a little more seasoning, but glad to be bbqing again. Tomorrow: some baby back ribs I just picked up. I appreciate this forum and the many ideas. I'll let you know how the ribs turn out and how the compare with the my old methods.
Welcome oneminer!
Did you ever get out to that Dog Track in Phoenix?
I think it was on Washington (?)
(It's only been 30+ years since I spent some time out there)
Ever heard of the "Montana Tavern"?
(Gawwwwwwd... It was an IFFY area back in the 70s)...
Anyway... Welcome aboard and Happy Smokin'!

Colorado is some beautiful country, use to go up there a couple times a year when the kids were younger and we could afford it.
