Since I am in a sharing mood here is another family favorite Bubble Pizza. With younger kids it is best to make it as stated, but our kids are getting bigger so we drop the burger and put Black olives and cut up Canadian Bacon pieces in there now. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Bubble Pizza
2.5 oz jar of Spaghetti Sauce
2 rolls/tubes of Grand biscuits cut each roll/biscuit into 4 pieces
2 Cups of Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
2 lbs. of Hamburger browned and drained.
Mix all but the cheeses in a 9x13 pan, bake at 400* for 25 minutes, Add cheeses on top and bake another 10 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
*** We have dropped the Hamburger and used Canadian bacon, Italian Sausage etc... Basically any ingredient that you use on pizza can be put in there. Just watch the moisture content and size. IE: Onions , Peppers.
Sounds interesting, but do you put all the ingredients in the biscuit dough and mix or just place on top. Seems with the title "Bubble Pizza" it's all mixed up and forms a bubble when you cook it.
Yep mix it all together. As the cut up biscuits cook they expand and resemble what we have always called "Monkey Bread". Think of it as when your taking your bubble bath Kevin ;D ;D and you scoop up a hand full of bubbles. Each bubble is a piece of biscuit with the pizza toppings all around it. Need to get that thought out of my brain it hurts too bad!! ;D ;D
But my bubbles don't have anything in them - unless - ooops, homemade bubbles.
Oh this thread is going to get Hijacked in a bad way. I can just see it coming as soon as Hal and CRG get here.
Hal is busy shopping...
Wait until you see what the Easter Bunny is bringing him. :o :o
Just mix it and spread it out on the pan?
I think I could make this one.
You add the onions and peppers when you add the cheese?

Nope add all of the ingredients your using at the same time and mix. Except the cheese it goes on after baking for 25 minutes.
I made the bubble pizza. Chris hope you dint mind me posting pics.
Got the biscuits all cut and in the dish.

10.5 You got another winner here........Its good ;D
Rick,
Momma saw your pictures and said "He would like it even better if he mixed everything together before baking". Meaning that after you added the sauce and the meats you should have stirred everything together. Then the biscuits wouldn't separate like they did on you. I thought it looked good.
I bet the kidos go for that in a big way!
Wonder what cinnamon rolls cut up and add some nuts and other goodies would be like?
Yeah its good. Will have to do what your wife said and mix it all up.
This is good for my daughter to make when she has her friends over with their brats i mean kids :D
crg got a good idea on it too ;D

At first I thought Yuk that would change the taste and it wouldn't be pizza. Then the brain engaged. Why not use some sort of caramel sauce or cheese sauce instead of pizza/spaghetti then after the 25 minutes of baking add scrambled eggs and cheese on top and make a breakfast bubble pizza
Mmmmm this things getting a life of it's own.

That sounds pretty good Chris!
Put some Boudain on it! ;D
Sounds tasty TP.

Don't forget the BACON!
The breakfast pizza idea is under discussion with Momma. I see it being tried here in the near future.
This sounds great, 10.5!!! This is a must try for us!
Mrs S
Well it all sounds real good, I'm going to try my hand at making this tonight
We made it last night and i thought i should take pictures. But by the time the dust settled and the bleeding and crying had stopped, the dish was empty! I figured that would make such a good picture. I was told that i am making it again tonight but gonna try ham and pinapple. I actually cut the dough up, and mixed in the sauce and meat and then just scooped it out into the dish. It sure made it fast and easy. I think i will try to press the pinapple to dry it a bit before i put it all together. Maybe tonight i can get some pics of how awesome it is. I might even try some of our smoked mozza cheese on it.
I have to thank 10.5. This has become an instant hit with my family. Its definitely getting filed under 110% yummy.
It's kind of like that around here throw the dish at the table and step back or your gonna draw back bloody stubs. You can mix everything right in the dish so as to cut down on dishes.
Hey thanks for the recipe Chris. I think I will make this for the kids this weekend. After 2 weeks without my wife here I think they are getting a little sick of the McDonald's, hot dogs, mac & cheese, and frozen pizzas. I think they will love this.

I can guarantee they will Scott. Give the recipe to one of the Girls and let them run with it. Makes it taste a lot better to them. When they get to make it or at-least help.
The only thing that could make this better is to add doughnuts on top. Everything tastes better with doughnuts.
We had this for dinner Wednesday night. Turned out exceptionally well, Yes I like cheese on top of my bubble pizza!!

Whats a pizza with out cheese?
Looks good, I think my wife might even be able to cook this one. ;D
I forgot to tell you that this one was Canadian Bacon and Black Olive.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Canadian bacon.
Any of that cheese been smoked?
Not this time, this came out of a bag. Next week there will be some smoked cheese around my house.
Lookin back at the recipe you stated "2.5 oz jar Spaghetti Sauce"
Is that correct or should it read 25 oz ?
Gonna give this to the girls and let them go with it.
Looks great! Neat idea that I will have to try. ;D ;D

It should read 25oz although I do use the 26oz cans as well
Thanks Chris.
Thanks Chris. My family is going to be all over this one. Nice to add another for the kids to get involved in.

Haven't been on here for ages (please forgive me for my sins ;)) until the other day, and came across this recipe. Gave it a try last night, and it's a hit! I used Prego for the sauce (I feel it;s the best jarred sauce out there), and for toppings I used pepperoni, chopped garlic, chopped onions, and fresh mushrooms.
Now I'm from NJ originally, but have been in FL for about 8 years now. The NJ/NY area has the best pizza I've ever had (and many would agree), but I've been pressed to find good pizza down here in FL. Some decent stuff, but even the best down here doesn't even come close to the lowest grade pizza you can find back up North. Well, except for missing a crispy crust, this recipe comes pretty dang close. 2 thumbs up for sure ;D
Well spinfreak, Welcome back Home!
Being a newcomer, I had never seen this one. This looks good !
Reading through the thread I saw the breakfast idea. The whole thing reminds me a bit of a thing called a "strata", aka quick quiche. I do these on weekends for breakfast regularly. I am sure many of you have had them as "breakfast casserole". I am thinking the breakfast version using the biscuit dough as done here would be so much better. Doing the quick quiche thing the idea would be use breakfast sausage and/or bacon as the meat, cheeses of choice, and an egg/milk custard mix instead of the sauce (ratio - 3 eggs to 1 1/2 cups whole milk or half 'n half).
An alternative (and CRG might get on this one) would be to use a thin cream gravy as the sauce (needs to be a sauce at room temp) and breakfast sausage as the meat - all at once you have biscuits with sausage gravy AND CHEESE!.
Then there's CRG's desert version - cinnamon roll dough, caramel sauce, apple chunks, pecans and then some lightly sweetened cream cheese (like mascarpone) on top ?
Definetly gonna try this.. sounds yummy!! In reference to the breakfast version.. don't forget to add some thawed, shredded hashbrowns on top of the biscuits.. A lady I know does the biscuits, a bit of margarine spread on top, then the hashbrowns, eggs, ham, sausage & cheeses..
Tried this over the past weekend.
Amazing stuff!
Used cubed salami, mushrooms, jalapenos, red/orange pepper, onions, garlic and pineapple.
No pics because it disappeared fast!
Also made a dessert version of this last night.
Basically:
Chopped Pillsbury Grands sprinkled with Brown Sugar and Cinammon
Apple Pie Filling on top
Streusel mix on top of that
Into the oven for 30 mins at 400
Yumm!
We've also got some modified versions we're thinking of trying in the future:
Alfredo sauce instead of spaghetti sauce, with cooked chicken breast, garlic, onion and peppers.
Barbecue sauce instead of spaghetti sauce, with pulled pork or cooked chicken, onions and peppers.
Green curry sauce, with chicken or beef, onions, peppers and bamboo shoots.

Yes sir looks like a good one to try in the SRG Tenpoint5. If I can get Kimmie out of the house before I cook it then it's a go! ;D
She would not like to see this one, it's not on her eating plan! ;)
