Let's say you "knew a guy"...
and this guy had a glass of Maker's Mark in one hand.
and a DeWalt reciprocating saw in the other.
So.. just saying you knew this guy, ok...
Imagine he's staring at a what most rational people might consider a "perfectly nice wall".
I'm not suggesting y'all know anyone like that, but...
Like... if you did...
Would you maybe say something to this guy?
Or just sell tickets?
What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?
I would say HEY
Gimmie your Makers to hold while i sit here and watch you cut a hole in your wall for your vent ;D
He starts to cut and when finished he says HEY
You drank all my Makers
I say yeah and lookie the nice round vent hole you just cut :D ;D
Nepas, they've already got like 12 closets in that house... Everywhere you turn, there is a door leading somewhere else. When I was helping him move his office/computer stuff over, I needed post-it notes to find my way out.
I've seen what he's done with a Sawzall before... He turned a coat closet into a bar once. (marble top, built-in fridges) It turned out nice!

I need one of them bars in my garage ;D
Well, if I did know this guy...
I wouldn't tell him (his feelings might get hurt)...
But, he's making one helluva mess...
(Nepas, it would have probably been OK if he was just venting a smoker... But this idiot cut a HUGE hole in the wall. Ain't no tellin' what he's thinking.)
Is this what Nepas's house looks like?

I do hope you are in the basement doing this!! The rest of your house already has 'holes' in all the right places.
Sometimes my house does :D :D
Last year after hunting season, Wife went outa town and Son was helping me install a new tub, etc in the BATHROOM!
Somehow the sawzall found it way to the doorway and wall between the Kitchen and the Breakfast Room and the Wall Between
Between the Living room and the Breakfast Area.
When the dust settled, We had a twice as big Kitchen area, TWICE as much Cabinet and counter top space and
an 8 foot Breakfast bar that no one eats at.

That could be 8' for sausage making at my house ;D
I hope it to be at mine too.
Hal, just tell this guy stop when he gets to the end of the road!
Ummmm Yeah...
At least this guy is in the basement. It ain't all that bad...
I've seen him make much bigger messes - CRG-style...
I've been in this guy's basement before...
Use to be, you couldn't see a bathroom standing here...

A note to my story.
We walked into the Kitchen for some iced tea and to change the battery on the Sawzall
while we were working on the Bathroom and just started talking about "opening up" the breakfast area.
28 cabinets later, Italian Porcelian flooring (including the Larger kitchen, dining room, living room, foyer,
Hallway, 4 Bedrooms, two of the Bathrooms) recessed lighting (all thru the House), all new appliances,
recessing the new fridge in the wall, etc, etc.
So, if you call me to help, You hold the sawzall and I'll hold the Maker's Mark!
That was a very strange day!
And wife was pissed when she got home, but loves the new look now.
Ahhh. I know what you are up to. Direct bathroom access from your Man Cave..
Naw... That was a plan on the board...
I'm just putting in 54" wide of cabinets (a 36" and an 18") "built-in" style - flush with the wall.
You wuz afraid I knocked down half the house, eh? ::)
