Title: The trinity and my PID
Post by: car54 on January 23, 2010, 12:52:31 PM
I have just found out that in March I will have seen the trinity.

Guy Fieri

Anthony Bourdain

Andrew Zimmern

I went to see the Guy Fieri show over a month ago. It STUNK. He was late because he was taping a Price is Right show with Drew Carrie. The theater which is next to a cold Milwaukee River would not let us in. Part of the show was a mixologist who only made sexual innuendos. The Guy part of the show was a little cooking, rock and roll and screwing around with 2 other cooks. At 10:45 my wife and I left the show because we both get up at 4:30 AM. Other people were leaving also. We saw Guy for 45 minutes of which he cooked for about 5 minutes. We learned nothing. I like the Diners, Drive In and Dives show but as I said this show stunk.

Last night we saw Anthony Bourdain. It was good, informative and interesting. It was about 1 hour 45 minutes long. He does not follow a script and there is a question and answer time. He is a good speaker. What is most surprising is that he is married and has a 2 1/2 year old daughter.

In March we will see Andrew Zimmerns. I believe that it will be good.

So that is the trinity but where does my PID fit in. Before I left for the show I was smoking some pork butt. I set my PID for 215 degrees and walked away from it without worrying for 4 hours. I like my PID.

Sounds like they just threw something together to capitalize on Guy's popularity.
