Title: grill/smoker patio
Post by: squirtthecat on January 25, 2010, 07:34:59 AM

I've got a patio built that houses my enclosed Bradley, an outdoor kitchen/workarea, my Weber gasser, and soon my Traeger.

I'd like to put a roof over it, and I know Hal and NePas are doing similar research.

This caught my eye.

I'd need a solid roof.   Maybe 9' high at the front, sloping to 7' or so in the back. (so it clears my 'smoke shed' and my 6' fence)   No need for gutters, as it would drain behind my fence. (that is a shared area with my neighbor - there is a gas pipeline running through there. so our fences are a few feet apart)

Does anyone else have something similar?   Any other/better ideas to knock around?

Yeah, I don't know where that picture was taken..   But I like the basic setup, and roll-up walls.

Mine looked like this last summer.   Now it is surrounded by standing water and soggy grass.   :(

We'll be safe where my 'sticks' have to go, but Hal's is a different story...

You'd better have the SprinkleLawn, ADT and ComCast guys parked in the driveway when we start!

The sprinkler system was my biggest worry..
BUT - Believe it or not - the other night, MrsD was going through this HUGE file the previous owners left...
She says, "is this good for anything?"

It was a DETAILED MAP of the sprinklawn pipes!

However - TWO posts need to go awful close to a feeder...
(we're doing this before the system is pressurized this year)

We'll fly you up!   You'll get 48 hours notice to show up at Houston Hobby airport...   I'll even mail down some Southwest Airline 'drink coupons' so you can pre-hydrate on the way up.

I'll hold the video camera.  Hal, Squirt, CRG, and FLB together can only mean one thing.....a video worthy of AFV. ;D

Hmm...   Southwest doesn't fly direct to West Palm Beach anymore.   We might have to airlift you out of Tampa.

Is fear of getting stranded why you have a porta-potty out there?
