Title: Krystal Burgers
Post by: classicrockgriller on February 17, 2010, 06:34:43 PM
I lived in Jax, Fl for 13 years and when I left to move back to Texas,

one of the things I missed the most were Krystal Hamburgers.

They really weren't much of a Hamburger but man did they taste good.

They don't fry the meat they steam it. Sounds weird I know.

Was in Houston today and Look what I found. A Krystal Restaurant.

My Family likes them also so I got what they call a 24 Steamer pack.

3 rolls of 8 burgers.

The onions are soft, the mustard, pickle, and onions are all warm as you eat the steamed burger.

I could have eaten more, but had the family to think of.

WWW.krystal.com  today, there are still only 380 stores.

I think those were like the White Castle sliders out west. Saw some in Sam's club in Anchorage the other day and got heart burn just walking by them.  :D  Man did I down alot of those burgers years ago along with a frosty mug of beer and a bag full of dripping, greasy fries. YUUUUUMMMMMMMYYYYYY.  ;D

Those are like our White Castle sliders up here in Yankee-land!

Steamed over a bed of onions on the flat-top...

Some people think they're disgusting, and maybe they are, but I LOVE KRYSTAL BURGERS!
If anybody has any idea what the heck those Krystal patties are made of - keep it to yourself - I don't wanna know!

Was in the Home of Krystals - Chattanooga this past weekend.  Had me some of those sliders with the french fried onion rings on them - umm - ummm good!

Close, but not quite the same.
Krystals > White Castle   Krystals got CYM!  White Castles don't

I think those are the same as White Castle too. I loved them when they were fresh made at the restaurant, but not a big fan out of the freezer section in the grocery store.
