I have used my new 6BDS 4 times know. I have noticed when smoke stops meat or chicken has either gone down a little or takes for ever to come up to temp. Has anybody else had this happen. Thanks for help.
Yep.
I keep my smoke generator on even if I'm not smoking.
It add another 125 watts of heat.
After you stop the smoke are you turning off the smoke generator?
You can leave it on, just slide the last spent puck off the element unless you are using
puck saver. The puck burner is 125W heat source.
opps sorry tubbs
yes, because i have those puck savers, maybe i will skip the puck savers next time and see what happens and leave the smoker on, thanks for help.
thanks thats what i will do next smoke.
Do yourself a favor and let the puck savers stay on the burner plate....more mass!
;)

If my mechanical visualization skills are working correctly today (and they may well not be since the sun is well over the yardarm), you'll have two unburned bisquettes and one burned on the plate. Better to use the puck savers as MPT suggests.
Them bubba pucks look like they are cool when you take em off the slide?
DONT PICK EM UP
:D :D :D

I have a round scare on my thumb from where i drilled the outside of my pucks. Maybe some smart person can make pucks with the temp sensitive markings. When they are hot you see the HOT show up and cold they show COLD. :D :D
Sorry i didnt get back with you lastnight.

No Problem Life does get in the way. I understand
yea i work with that every day we just call it "heavy" because no matter what it weighs you still drop it quick...
Burned my fingers with my pucks once...not taking them off the burner either. I wore a glove for that, set them on top of the smoker while preparing to do another smoke (preheated everything with the pucks inside). Wasn't wearing the glove when I grabbed the pucks to put them on the stack of wood. Could have done some breaking and entering and not gotten caught since I didn't have any fingerprints any more. ;D
