Title: Temp setting
Post by: Derek_KQ700 on February 21, 2010, 09:28:51 AM
How do I get my smoker temp set for 5 degree increments? it only adjusts at 10 degree increments, I am looking for 225 and I can only set at either 220 or 230.

Your gona have to pick on or the other or buy a PID.

I smoke/cook at 220* myself.

5 degrees probably won't hurt you either way. A little warmer, less cook time, a little cooler more cook time. You'll want to cook to temperature rather than time anyhow.

I'd go 5* higher.   That will give you a little room as the digital will have a temp swing of 20*.

I just foiled my ribs with apple juice as in the Bradley pictorial for cooking ribs. There was loose piece I tasted and oh my frickin' God does it taste good. 3 hours apple smoke. 2 hours foil and then 1 hour sauce. :P :P
