Title: New ventilation
Post by: smokeNcanuck on February 21, 2010, 02:35:38 PM
I finally got my supplies together today and got my exhaust fan hooked up
for smoking in my garage.  Something a little more substantial than the cardboard
I was using before.  I made everything to quickly connect and disconnect because I still
use the garage to park in( I live in the GREAT WHITE NORTH remember).ha,ha ;) ;)
I think the whole thing cost me around $25CAD(used rage hood$10bucks, wanted a free one but whatever)

Thanks, been traveling like crazy.  New job now with a commute but should see my own bed a bit more...and maybe even the forum at least on weekends.  ;D

It is a nice install above.  The temporary installation is clever.  8)

sNc,

C'mon, that can't be your garage.  Where's all of your junk  ???  ;)  Nice clean looking setup.

This is my 'feasibility study' from yesterday.  The garage door was open about 6" for the exhaust hose.  It worked pretty well until the duct tape let go and the garage filled with smoke  >:(

When I attached the vent to the top of my smoker, I didn't want to trust duct tape.    8 sheet metal screw did the trick.

Now see, Arnie has the idea on what a garage is supposed to look like.

All right cut me some slack ;) ;), I do have some mess in my garage just not on the pic.
However I am some what anal when it comes to my garage, and keeping it clean.
For the most part it is because it is small so a little clutter seems like a lot.
If you want to see my mess I'd have to take some pics of my storage shed out back, another
reason why my garage is clean(I just throw all the sh** in the shed).

Dysartmoker,  thats a good set-up as well.
I wanted to go directly out the bak of the vent hood, but because I wanted to keep it easily
removable it was just easier to vent thru the top.
How do you find time to use all those smokers? ;D
