Title: Another bradley door question
Post by: Phoneguy on February 22, 2010, 06:04:31 PM
Hey guys,
I just got a new bradley digital 4 rack and am putting it together in my shop
The door seal seems very weak, and sometimes the door just pops open by itself. Is there a catch somewhere? I don't see one in the instructions.
I will probably have to call customer service tomorrow, hoping for guidance tonight.
Thanks
       James

Door should shut just like a refrigerator door.

There's no catch.

Door should shut just like a refrigerator door.

There's no catch.

It feels like there is something causing resistance for the last inch or so of closing?

The door may have become misaligned during shipment. If something is bent then call Bradley.

Here is a post that has instructions on how to remove and reinstall the door.

I spent a bit more time at it and found that the seal had pulled away from the door some so the seal was not making contact all the way around. I think it is okay now. Thanks for the advice!

My door has never closed "like a fridge door" , I always have to sort of force it closed, but it doesn't really bother me, it still holds the smoke  :)
