Title: sometimes, it takes the littlest thing to help you pass the time...
Post by: squirtthecat on March 10, 2010, 05:38:05 PM

Mrs and MIL are on their way to Florida to catch some STL Cardinals Spring Training games.

They were stuck up in Bloomington, IL, on the way to Atlanta, to be stuck again (connecting to FLL) for a while due to bad weather in the area.

I get this email - I replied, and never got a response.

Subject: guess what!

Guess who is on our flight - Don Shula, former coach of the Miami Dolphins!  You should see the humongo Super Bowl ring on his hand!

We'll see if she got a few pics of him.   Perhaps, he might even be in MIL's Christmas Card photo!

My Mrs. was on a plane to Jersey with my 6mo son and she was on a plane with Tony Dungy.  She said she was to nervous to ask for a pic.  I was like Dungy is a family man and I'm sure he wont mind.

Behave yourself while the Mrs. is outta town and have fun.

No pics.   She said he looked like he wanted to be left alone...   He was on their next flight as well, from Atlanta for Fort Lauderdale.

Actually, OU, it's pretty nice here.  Hit 70° yesterday w/ sun.

I've got too much to cook this weekend to get in too much trouble...   ;D
Gonna do a major Sam's run at lunch.

I bought a case of Butts, a small brisket (almost no point but hass all the fat cap)

and a massive piece of meat I don't know about yet, at Sam's yesterday.

I'm going for 60lbs of brisket...  I've got 2 coolers in the trunk to stash it in.

Where to keep it at home is a different story.  I'm thinking coolers on the deck w/ bags of ice.
This should be interesting.  :o

CRG, I hooked up my new 180° controller last night.  Does a great job with temperature control..  Getting it to fit on my 070 was a different story.  :(

The last cple of things I did on the Traeger I adjusted my P

setting to 8 and my temp swings were within 3 to 4 degrees.

I had (after playing with it last time) accidently set it to P-0.

Mine was all over the board...   It was an older controller, so I don't think it was timed correctly.
I got a good deal on this one, so I jumped on it.   Now I have 3 digi controllers, and the old analog.

I'll do a post on the new one.
