I bought an OBS and really didn't like the fact that spillage could get into the slider control.
Now I know this is not pretty, but maybe some one will see this and fabricate something better.
I took Duct tape and taped it so that it blocked the opening to the slide bar down the front.
I added another piece on to it and didn't press that piece down so I could lift it up and adjust my slide bar.

Hope this helps someone protect their slide controls.
Or you could cut back on a few of the beers so you don't spill in the first place. ;D Naw, nevermind.

LOL-Just yank'n your chain CRG-LOL
Actually that is genus!
1. Cheap.
2. When it gets dirty you just put a new one on.
3. Make it a little longer and you could hang your utensils off the sticky side.
As long as you use the 200-Mph duct tape!
If classic silver offends someone's aesthetic sensibilities, you could always either use colored duct tape or decorate it (ever so artistically of course) with magic marker. Maybe even start up a little side business - "Decorated duct tape, for when you just have to dress it up a bit."

It was either Silver or Camo. But they do make it in Black. ;D
Ka Honu, Son and New DIL are in Kona, they arrived there yesterday.
You could use drip lip like you put over a door, to your house, before the siding goes on, or bend it out of a piece of tin.

That was my hopes by posting my "Redneck tape job".
Or maybe smokeitall and BigJohnT.
You could always just do the same thing but use black duct tape. Still not fancy, but it won't stand out so much.
Looks nice CRG, thanks for the pics.

I took possession of one of my wife's wooden yard sticks and simply rest the front feet of the smoker on it for elevation. Nothing flows out the front.

This is good to know. :)
I am not sure, but I think Habs first came up with the idea of elevating the front of the smoker.
I hope Brian is taking notes here.
I elevate the front feet also, but I did this for spillage going in and out of smoker.
We might be able to fab something from so aluminum sheet...
Been real busy with integrating a new control system into this...

If you build it, they will buy it.
But mine is prettier. ;D
Put your far out duct tape over it. ;D
