That Guiness should be green  :P

Wearing of green

Originally the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue. However, over the years the colour green and its association with Saint Patrick's day grew.[2] Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick's Day as early as the 17th century.[3] He is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day.[4][5] Then in the 1798 rebellion in hopes of making a political statement Irish soldiers wore full green uniforms on 17 March in hopes of catching attention with their unusual fashion gimmick.[2] The phrase "the wearing of the green", meaning to wear a shamrock on one's clothing, derives from the song of the same name.

Squirt , You will need to wait a few years before you go back. My daughter who is eleven (Today) will be the one to go over with. Her name is Rachel, she is Irish and It's her birthday on March 17th!! She's too young to understand what that will entail later in life.

My best friend in college was a Hungarian Jew born in Paris on St. Patrick's Day.  Talk about an identity crisis!

Driving on the wrong side of the road/shifting w/ the wrong hand was interesting...

Tell her Happy BDay!      Green cake today?

Already chuckling a little about the worst part, but I haven't paid the bill on that one yet either.  Paid other expenses from it that I was going to take care of today even before this little episode, though.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! Mine turned out pretty good, I got a free lunch from a co-worker. He said it was payment for the Javelina meat.
