Title: DownTown Houston.
Post by: classicrockgriller on March 19, 2010, 12:57:49 PM
I am not a big city guy. Some people like it, I would rather not be there.

But on this occasion, I was Happy to be in Downtown.

Son's Wedding was last Friday and I had my Camera and got a couple of pics in the Historic section of Downtown Houston.

This is the Magnolia Hotel where they stayed after the Wedding and before they flew to Hawaii.

The two shorter building are the Rice and San Jac Motel and in the back ground part of the new.

The old meets the new again

There is a rail system in the newer section of town, but this is the bus system for the old.

Was told this was the old Court House and they are renovating it.

This Beautiful place was across from the Magnolia Motel.

I'm with you buddy, dont care for the big city.

Thats why I live in the middle of no where, work in the city but glad to get the hell out. When I sit at home on a calm night in July you can hare the corn grow.

Nice pictures by the way.

Geez, You guys watch too many Westerns.

You really don't see people with Cowboy Hats on in town or really even the smaller cities.

Well it is Houston after all - not too sure it is really a part of Texas.

Now if you go to the right parts - there are still plenty of boots and hats.  Some even on the wimmen!  Gosh, I miss the cowgirls!
