Title: New Smoker
Post by: Justintime2smoke on March 21, 2010, 07:58:32 PM
bought my OBS 2 days ago. and the first smoke was today. and about 4hrs in the generator stopped pushing pucks through. i read the instructions. cleared any woodchips i saw but still nothing. luckily it was at the end and the chicken and ribs were done. I'm glad to hear that Bradley customer service is great. But please feel free to reassure me. this is my first smoke and i already have problems. i can here a click when i push the button but nothing happens.

Unload any pucks and pull out the loader tube.  Look inside where the tube was inserted when you push the button.  Does the slide move?  Unplug and plug back in and try again (if it was not unplugged from when you first encountered the problem).

If the slider still does not move, a quick call to Bradley will help get your problem solved.  Brian from Bradley may also see this post and reply.

Welcome to the Forum.

You might take a look at the FAQ's in the recipe section.

Here's a quick link.

If you want, you can open the smoke gen and have a look inside.  It won't void the warrenty.  Bradley usually encourages the folks to take a look and see for loose wires or linkages.  Often a problem is pretty simple to spot.

If you not comfortable doing that, then give the customer support a call.

Remove only the screws around the perimeter of the smoke generator bottom.  Don't remove the ones in the middle!
