I'm in the middle of smoking some jerky and i just notice my heating element died i double checked all the plug ins and everyting is connected. It's the new 6 rack stainless model I have and I am just wondering if there is something else I could be checking before I loose all my meat...
Is the smoke generator display still working?
Double check the plugs again and make sure they are seated firmly. Check for loose wires that are connected to the heating rod, check fuse.
Of course un plug before you check the wires.
Your jerky will be fine for a couple hours.
If all else fails put your jerky racks in your oven at the lowest you can go. Most go low to 150*
Hi thanks for getting back yes the fuse and and connections are all good and the display is working.. the smoke generator still works. It does look like I'll using the oven to finish up.. I find it kinda strange the element would burn out so quick I've only had the smoker since christmas and used it a few times.

Call Bradley tomorrow, They are great with helping solve issues and warranty items.
Welcome to the forum and That is a bummer.
Bradley will help you out fast.
Also to help keep temp low in the oven you can crack the door open a little and
you can use your maverick or other temp gauge to keep a check on you oven.
Hi avalanche99,
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear about your problem. Just to make sure; I'll mention that the smoker will automatically shut off after 9:40 hours, if you don't reset the time.
One more thought. Have you checked the connections inside the smoke generator?
