DITTO!
Penzys Hungarian Half Sharp is good stuff with allot of flavor.
If it's heat you want, try this stuff! (http://www.thespicehouse.com/spices/habanero-chile-peppers-whole-and-ground?utm_source=g-base&utm_medium=shp&utm_campaign=feed)
That's like Weaponized Habaneros!
Heat I have.
I was just looking to kick some of the rubs I do with paprika in them up a notch. or two.
The half-sharp will do that for you..
I used it in the last Pastrami I made. Definitely took it up a notch and ¾ths.
I use Spanish paprika for it's flavor (love it) - have two grades and the Spanish hot version is not very hot. For added heat to compliment that with a smokey flavor I like ground chipotle chili powder.
Randy
If you need more kick but not as hot as Habenero let me know, I have some home ground ancho powder.
Bumping around in my pantry earlier today I rediscovered a bottle of stuff I have on hand to make about anything over-the-top spicy hot. THIS (http://tastethepain.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product124.html#124) is the real thing. If you ever want extreme heat, Pure Cap will add it. When I bought it a couple of years ago they faxed me the release, I faxed it back, and it came with an MSDS.
