CRG, I could not find the post where you gave the recipe for that potato salad made with cilantro, bacon, onions, etc...
Anyways, I made that potato salad tonight to serve with grilled hamburgers. I boiled the potatoes in the crab boil, like you suggested.
It was a great potato salad!!! I love the cilantro in there. The crab boil really added to the overall flavor too!
Mr. even heated some of his up, and that was also good - on the same concept as German potato salad.
Now there are two potato salads out there that Seemore likes: West Texas Smokers, and yours.
Thank you again!

Sonny's Cilantro Potato Salad
final version....maybe
The following recipe is based on a per pound of potatoes.
Better make more than pound, you will be sorry if you don't.
Ingredients
1lb of new red potato
1/4 lb of crisp fried crumbled or chopped bacon
3 heaping tablespoons of Kraft mayo
1 rounded teaspoon of minced garlic
1/2 ts of black pepper
1/4 cup of finely diced sweet yellow onion
1/2 of a fresh lime (just the juice)
1/4 cup of finely chopped cilantro
I cubed my potatoes as to not get too big of cubes so they all kinda cook
the same. Put enough water in pot to cover the amount of potatoes you are
cooking (add salt to the water) and turn on high. After the water starts to
boil, dump in taters bring back to boil and then turn it down to low.
When your largest chunk of tater just starts to get soft shut it down and
dump into a collander. Don't rinse all that good stuff off the potatoes.
In a large bowl add: mayo, garlic, pepper, cilantro and lime juice.
Stir together and let sit for 5 mins or so. Dump half of bacon in mix and
then potatoes and then other half of bacon and fold everbody together.
When you are ready to eat this top with green onion tops. Yum Yum

Don't know how I missed this post, but Quarlow fixed you up.
Sorry, I wasn't avoiding you, just missed it.
I came across it today when someone else posted a link to the recipe and this came up.
Am glad you tryed it.
What is the WestTexasSmoker recipe?
I mixed up some of this from the recipe Q posted above. Dy-no-mite! It went along with grilled rib eye and zucchini. Debbie left part of her rib eye to eat more of the potato salad. She said it's the best she's ever had.
Glad you tryed it and like it.
If you have any left overs, nuke just what you want to eat till it is warm, not hot.
It takes on a whole new flavor.
I didn't see mention of the Zatarins in your recipe

There are two ways to make it.
1st Boil your taters in salt water.
2nd Boil your taters in Zatarin's.
Both are good.
