Title: Hello From Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Post by: thehead on May 17, 2010, 09:58:47 AM
Hey all,

Long time lurker - just got my OBS a couple of weeks back.

Have smoked 2 items - small butt roast - OK, but not in long enough, and a 9 pound brisket - AMAZING.

Will be smoking a lot more now that I'm starting to get the hang of it.

No skeeters as of yet, Captainslug :)

As far as the handle - thehead - it comes from a long time ago in my IT career.

I have a really good memory about IT-related fixes, etc - and I was given the nickname TheHead.

Welcome to the forum and how is the "Windypig" as I call it. I haven't been there since 2000 when I hauled for Penner International. The thing about that place is it didn't matter if you were coming or going you were always bucking a head wind.
