I have two butts thawing and I am FINALLY gonna try some Carolina Treat.
On the one I am injecting with Carolina Treat. Any suggestions on what I should put on the exterior?
Thanks,
Seemore

Yeah, more CT! Then sprinkle some rub on them... They'll turn out great.
Thanks, Squirt! Can't wait to try it.

CT and the renowned Mr Brown were a hit here.
The Renowned Mr. Brown Barbecued Pork Butt, Memphis Rub; Smoke & Spice, by Cheryl and Bill Jamison.
Ingredients:
* 1/4 cup Black Pepper, fresh cracked
* 1/4 cup Paprika
* 1 /4 cup Turbinado Sugar or Brown Sugar
* 2 Tbsp. Salt, Kosher
* 2 tsp. Mustard, dry
* 1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
(Makes enough for one 6 - 8 lb. Boston Butt)
Just did two butts for a work lunch yesterday. Inject with CT, slather with CT, coated with Bad Byron's Butt Rub and then little bit more CT after about 4 -5 hours on the MAK. Was a huge hit with everyone. Opened my last jug of CT too, time to order more, at least 6 jugs this time I'm thinking.
CT inside, CT outside, can't go wrong!
Don't forget the "Love Slap"!
Extra tenderizing agent.
CRG, I did smack it about five times!!! :o
FLB, as it so happens, we did one of the butts with the Renowned Mr Brown rub and mop, so we put a little of that rub on the one with the CT as well.
They are still smoking, and they smell abolutely intoxicating!
June is going to take one in to her coworkers next week; I can't wait to get their reactions.

I can't agree more. CT on the outside and inside. That's why I buy the half-gallon bottles. A favorite rub on the outside. Rest in the fridge overnight. Really hard to go wrong.
I asked STC last week what trouble it would be to get a CASE of CT...
My half of the case showed up on the porch before I could sneeze.
And a good bit of that is already GONE.
GOOD STUFF.
Awrighten.
Yeah, the case prices is the way to go. $44 for 3 gallons, including shipping to Central IL.
