Post by: lumpy on May 22, 2010, 10:33:00 AM
Times are tough right now :( and this is all I can afford to smoke.

Just kidding :D :D
Finally got my Hotel Bradley back together after the "explosion" and had to test drive it before I do a whack of pork later today.

Explosion!   :o  What explosion?

I know I've been away a lot lately but I don't recall hearing about this Lumpy.

I pinched a wire on my 2nd heat element and it eventually broke. When it did that it arked on the side on my BDS and blew a hole the size of a walnut through the inside metal side wall.

While the power surged, it also blew my PID. Luckily it was just a fuse.

I need to make up for lost time.

Sorry to hear about that Lumpy.

How did you pinch the wire?

Was it pinched in the ceramic element holder?

You got it Mike!

Pinched in the ceramic holder.
When I rebuilt it, I drilled through the ceramic for the new wire.
I won't happen again!
