The wife tried to pull a fast one and get a holiday around here but I nicely told her "Miss Vicky we don't live in Canada, so NO holiday!"

We had our Victoria day dinner last night--Dungeness crab for appies followed by Vancouver Island lamb . The boat's in the water for the season so it's all you can eat dungies until the end of September.

Wow. They are $17.00/lb here. frozen.

We love dungies but only get them a couple of times a year.

We have an expression around here--"Colder than a clamdigger's a**!" and it's true! I'm too old for that , now. We used to get gooey's as a kid, just for the challenge of digging faster than they can go down in the sand.

Thanks for the comments folks.

It was a great Victoria day.  The weather was awesome.  I planted my Tomato and Hot Pepper Seedlings.  Played with the kids while my wife did her planting.  And then to top it off, found a little time to have a couple of beers and smoke up a batch of ribs.

What could be better than that?
