Title: Customizing your own BBQ Sauce.
Post by: classicrockgriller on May 26, 2010, 10:13:30 AM
I was rummaging around my recipe file and found this. Don't ask me where I got it, cause I don't remember.

I had used it years ago and kinda forgot about it since I am not a big sauce fan.

It allows you to make a sauce that doesn't really take away from the rub that you

used on your meat.

2 cups of ketchup (I don't use that much)

1 cup of apple juice

2/3 cup of apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons of Worchestire sauce

2 tablespoons of honey

2 tablespoons of (rub you used on your meat)

Simmer for 5 minutes or so.

Of course if you try it feel free to adjust it to your liking.

I wish someone would come with a clone for CT BBQ sauce, the yellow one. Got a good supply of the cooking sauce in stock, [6 half gallons, that was a boo-boo]. The shipping is getting ridiculous. Gotta find a replacement or a recipe to make it. I know there are some other brands out there, but not on the west coast. Tried a couple recipes that were not even close.
