Cab set at 250* Used hickory, 2 hours 15 mins. IT @185*. Turnip & mustard greens cooked with salt pork, buttered new potatoes w/chopped parsley. Cornbread and ABT's in the oven and missed the photo shoot, my bad :'(. The meal was delicious ;D
Lose that green stuff in the middle and you have an awesome meal. (Me not a veggie guy ;D)
Looks mighty delicious!
Them butter new taters look sweet!
What all you have inside the chicken?
Hi CRG-- inside was deli ham ( Primo Taglio ) and deli provolone cheese. The bacon was thick, but
was all I had at the time. Thin would have been better, but these were sure moist.
KevinG -- maybe beans next time?
Beans'll work.
Beans Beans the magical fruit.
The more you eat the more you toot.
The more you toot the better you feel.
Beans Beans with every meal.
Good lookin plate of grub you got there OldHickory.
Cant say as I've ever had "Turnip & mustard greens cooked with salt pork"
But anything cooked in pork fat has to be good.
Looks great, Old Hickory!
(but --- I'm gonna go ahead and vote for the beans in the middle too!)
Looks great, and I'll go ahead and defend your greens. If cooked properly greens are very tasty. And from the sound of it you cooked them the right way.
Nice one, that's a fine looking plate of food.
I've got to try both the chicken and ABTs.
