Can,t figure this one out. This is only the second time using my DBS and it won't get past 115 degrees!
Does the smoker need to be on in order for it to reach the desired temp or is something else wrong?
The 1st time I used it I seasoned it and went straight to cooking my meat. It worked great.

Make sure you have the oven portion turned on. If it is on try un-pluging & re-pluging all cords in. Do this several times. They need to seat all the way in when they are new. Once you've done this fire it back up and have a look at the main element and make sure it turns red.

Thats mike I will try that now.
Mike has you covered. Make sure the plugs are all very firmly plugged in. The sensor cable that connect the to the tower, once you connect it, turn it a couple of times to make sure the connection is good. If you have to reverse it and plug it in again.
