Title: Been busy
Post by: car54 on June 13, 2010, 04:32:50 PM
I have done some smoking lately but I have not been posting much because,

I have been busy in the yard.

I have been watching my grandson's lacrosse games. He has won all 12 of his games. He is in the red jersey with no visible #.

I have prepared 2 race go karts and entered my 1st race. I am # 33 and I finished last but on the lead lap. Even with my racing experience, go karts are foreign to me. My grandson is #54 and he is do much better then me. When he turns 15 in September he will race in my class. That is a big honor to race with him. Here is a link to the sanctioning body that we race with. Top speeds are I believe about 60 mph. There is a video of a lap at the track.

That's pretty cool, go carts are a lot of fun. My nephews are doing that Lacrosse thing too. I haven't quite figured it all out yet.

Cooooool!!!!

I had a one when I wuz young...  A lousy 3.5HP standard issue..
Saved up my fish frying money and bought a 5HP B&S for it...

My buddy and I were up all night in the garage...
Finally got it mounted/hooked up/RIGGED...
I sit down... He fires it up... It takes off like a souxed-up-rocket.
I'm frantically trying to avoid obstacles, traffic, etc...
Scared to death...  And I'm just IDLING...

I'm thinking... "If it idles like THIS, I sure as heck ain't pressing the GAS PEDAL..."
Of course, it didn't have any BRAKES (who needs stinkin' brakes?)

Finally, out of desperation... I pressed the gas... and it rolled to a stop.
Soooo... C54... If ya ever need any help with throttle cables...
Call CRG.   ;)
