Title: Leftover cold brisket
Post by: DTAggie on June 15, 2010, 10:19:05 AM
Cooked a brisket not long ago.  At that time son was about two weeks into thinking he was a vegetarian.  Well that didn't last too long.  Last night I cut open open the vac sealed left overs and told him to try what he missed.  He went nuts for it.  I am having the rest today at lunch.  I really think I like brisket cold leftover more than I do warm out of FTC.

I love cold brisket too.  Brisket is always better the next day more time for the flavors to develop

I knew that would not last long the way my son eats.

Did he just brake up with a new girlfriend? I can see a young man saying that for a girl and then it doesn't last very long. LOL

Funny thing was his old girl friend was a vegetarian but it did not change him.  I think what did it was off season training for high school wrestling started and he thought it would help him.  Believe he quickly learned he needs lots of protein to handle those workouts.

Had brisket for lunch yesterday, beef ribs for dinner last night, brisket for lunch today and beef ribs for dinner tonight.  Anyone got a spare heart laying around?

"His old girlfriend was a vegetarian" and it didn't change him? Well not for very long anyway! Good Luck to him with high school wrestling. It's a hard discipline sport!

Yes it is TestRocket.  He decided not to play football after playing last year.  Wish he would get back to TKD.  Was a Texas State Champion and third nationally in Olympic Sport TKD in 2008.

Brisket Breakfast Burritos are great.  Brisket is also good chopped up with scrambled eggs or omlet style... well, I guess it would be easier to say brisket is a perfect breakfast main ingredient.
