If the bottle ain't lovingly hand-dipped in wax by sweet little old ladies at Star Hill Farm...
I ain't interested.
Many Moons ago we use to have Sangria Wine party's.
And used fruit and things and used the wine for other things.
Was hoping to get some help for the TSO to be.
Not a biggie.

something about
anything.
(don't even start!)
Here's a recipe off the google. Sounds good to me.
This Sangria recipe is perfect for big summer parties - always a favorite, you may consider doubling the
recipe.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
Splash of orange juice or lemonade
2 Shots of gin or triple sec (optional)
1 Cup of raspberries or strawberries (may use thawed or frozen)
1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
4 Cups ginger ale
Preparation:
Pour wine into a large pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the
wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.
Well, heck... Q, that's what we always called "HOOCH" back home in Kentucky ;D
Think ours was like:
Sangria Wine (long neck bottles)
Some fruit
Everclear.
Back them we thought triple sec was when you got REAL lucky.
Q, that kinda sounds like a yuppie version, but thanks.

Well I just pulled that recipe of the net. I have never even had Sangria before but you version sounds like it is closer to what I would drink if I ever drank it. ;D ;D ;D
I thought Sangria was self loading. Didn't realize you had to spike the stuff.
I don't know but the last time I had sangria it was around 1970 and I was too young to partake of such drink. But I did, and about all I remember is being on a wharf in Point Clear, AL and listening to "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". Enough said! ::)

Never made it either. Now if you are looking for Corona Ritas or Bourbon Slushies, just let me know. ;D

Sonny, Mary has a great recipe for Sangria. I've made it once and don't have the recipe handy but will find it. I do know it used burgundy wine and a small amount of orange brandy along with the fruit and other stuff. I'll track it down.... ;D
Long ages ago used to make it. Certainly not authentic, but mighty good. They went down easy!
Cheap burgundy type wine
Frozen pink lemonade
Frozen limeade
Frozen cherry juice or frozen fruit punch or frozen tropical blend.
Frozen orange juice.
Don't remember exact qty - I think I just added to taste and keep adding till you like it.
Liter of wine
1 can pink lemonade
1/2 can or less limeade
1/2 can Cherry or fruit punch or tropical blend.
1/2 can oj
Ice
sliced citrus to jazz it up.
Often would blend it up with ice and make a sangria smoothie or frozen sangria - mighty nice.
Pretty sweet, but as I said, went down easy!
Sonny, this is Mary's recipe I promised. I've had this a few times and it is very good.
6 1/2 cups red wine
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup orange liqueur
3/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (about 4 oranges)
Combine in gallon jar with the peeling from 4 oranges and 4 lemons. Chill. Mix about half and half w/club soda to serve. Adjust the amount of club soda to taste... If you want to get twisted, drink it straight ;D
Sorry I passed out a longtime ago! ;D
