KyNola,
Do you use regular sugar or turbinado sugar in Jan's rub?
I'm not KyNola, but I've used mostly white sugar, I have used turbinado though, its a little different taste.
Gotta try and see. I have used it in Jan's Rub and split with Dark Brown if you like it a little sweeter. It's all good!
I do like it a bit sweeter to offset the heat. Myabe half and half?
Thank you for asking. White sugar. Turbinado and/or brown sugar could be an interesting twist. Make it your own!
Turbinado has a higher melting point (thus higher burning point), so it is popular in rubs.
But, like everything else, there are lot of factors.
What ya cookin'? At what temp? For how long? What's your astrological sign?
Hal are you trying to read my palm?
Well I went to wallyworld to get the ingredients I did not not have, thinking for sure we had white sugar in this house. I get to mixin' and ask the wife where is the sugar? She informs they used the last of it in brownies last night. Oh well, turbinado it is. Pistachios tonight. Ribs rubbed in fridge for tomorrow. Will start a new link with pics shortly.
Poor hal, always mis-understod.
So what is your astrological sign?
Gemini
