Title: Fried Green Beans
Post by: classicrockgriller on June 25, 2010, 04:46:49 PM
I was making some Cilantro Potato Salad and had fried up a couple pounds of Bacon.

I also had some Fresh Green Beans I was going to Steam.

Just for the fun of it I tossed some of the Green Beans in the skillet with noon day onions and chopped bacon.

I sprinkled some Tony Chachere's Seasoning  and some peppered season all.

It was some pretty good eats.

Next time I will leaved out the "Seasoned Pepper" and just add Black Pepper (the bacon has enough salt in it,

and cut down on how much Bacon I add to it.

Or you could leave out the beans and the onions.   ;D

The thing is, when you get older, and start talking about green beans and cartoons...
Well, where was I?  Who am I?  How did I get here?

I like to refer to it as "R&D"...

Not "research and development" but "rob and duplicate".

I'm saying!

And yes, I do have a pile of fresh green beans in the fridge.   Trying to get motivated to vacuum seal them now.

Gotta try that with bacon grease.  I fry up green beans all the time but generally use butter, fresh chopped garlic, sea salt, coarse ground pepper.  I love them that way and have used both canned and fresh with good results.
