Have had a 1936 Ford Phaeton Street Rod for about 5 years. It stays in the garage under a cover. Haven't had it out this year. Had it out once last year and maybe once the prior year. Had decided to sell it this weekend at a collector car auction. Friend of mine is taking a couple of his over and was going to handle it all for me. I went out Monday afternoon to make sure it would start. I keep a trickle charger on it but hadn't turned it over in a year. Wouldn't you know it? The dang thing started right off and as soon as I heard that 327 Chevy motor with headers and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb sitting on an Edelbrock manifold sounding off through the Cherry Bomb glasspacks that are under it, I knew I just couldn't part with it. Costs me $200 a year to insure it so it doesn't eat much. Looks like I'm keeping her for now.

Do you blame me? Before anyone asks, heck no I didn't do any of the work on that car. Bought it just like you see it.
Nice ride Larry ;D
I could not sell it either
A real beauty you have there. Keep it. ;D
Nice Larry.
You should take her out a little more often...
Just put i9t back in the garage in a big vac bag. In 5 years, who knows?
Unless it's snowing outside, I see no reason that thing can't be driven around all the time. Talk about a chick magnet - 80 year old chicks!!!
That's a sweet ride!
Looks like Cragar Rockets on there (?)
That is SWEET and I'm on you side. She's a KEEPER!
Thanks guys. Makes me think I haven't toally lost my mind, just almost totally. :D
Hal, those wheels are American Racing brand and yes, they look a lot like the Craeger's you mentioned.
Man, that is a Parade car..
Hal and I are coming to Paducah in late September. Doesn't that warrant a parade?? ;D
That is a thing of beauty!
Would look good beside my 1936 Tudor Humpback that is a street rod also. 350/350, a/c, cruse, etc. Take me to Bonneville Speed Week each year and may other places.
Al
Would love to see a pic of the '36 Tudor Humpback. Can you post up a pic?
That my friend is a sweet ride. Like you said you need to get her out more often and let her talk with you.
Kynola,
Great looking car. You did the right thing by not selling it.
Would you rent it to me?
Brad
That temporary feeling to sell her was the nagging sensation of guilty neglect. She's a looker and you need to show her off a little more often! Very sweet KyNola!
nice car man I would have problems selling it to ;D ;D ;D
That is one Awesome ride!!!
I know that feeling although my ride is no where near that nice. I bought a 1985 SVO Mustang when I graduated from high school in 1985. This was a limited edition car they made for 1985, 1985 1/2 and 1986. I still have it. Has 103,000 miles on it and has not started in about 12 years. Needs a new turbo charger and an engine overhaul. Everytime I think I have funds to fix her up, the kids need something. Everytime I think its time to sell it, I just can't.
But I am on the lookout for a 1923 T-bucket.
Dt, Is that the 4 cyl turbo? I f so parts have really dried on that one.
Nice car!
Heck, Ky, I'd have cried if you sold it. Momma always tells me no when I get the urge to buy. I've already turned the garage into a wood/shop/laundry/junk room - so it would have to stay outside.
Smokin - yes it is the 2.3L turbo charged 4 cyl. Very hard to find parts.
its a beauti, keep keep keep the ride.... if im not clear,,,, keep it
