Question: I am assuming that it takes about 2 hours of smoking for every pound of meat. My question is, what if I place 2 pounds of ribs on one rack, and 2 pounds of chicken on another rack, should I set the timer for 4 hours or 8 hours ?  I have the digital smoker

Also, is it ok to smoke different kinds of meat at the same time?

Ron - To avoid any confusion, CRG's instruction is for the "smoke" portion of the cook.  You may need to continue cooking without smoke for longer (until you get the meat as done as you want it to be).
