Title: Smoked Salmon Chowder
Post by: stillsmoking on July 13, 2010, 05:24:04 PM
Mrs. SS gets most of the credit for this one.  Used the Roast Salmon Dinner Recipe from Bradley as the basis to Roast smoke 1/2 a Sockeye salmon earlier in the week.  With the leftovers and a Smoked Salmon Chowder recipe posted on the site by mws on Nov 6, 2005 made the chowder.  Just finished the last of the chowder up for lunch today and may I say it was wonderful.  I deviated from the Bradley recipe by using half a bone in salmon instead of a fillet and I know Mrs. SS deviated from the Chowder recipe finding that we needed to cook it for longer than mentioned to get the veggies done.  Still a fine way to use some leftover smoked salmon!

Great recipe MWS, all the veggies go great with the salmon.  The mushrooms in particular are really good.  Kummok, it was a wet, foggy, drippy day when we made this and it really did hit the spot.  Good way to use up that smoked salmon.
