MrsSTC and I are heading to Manhattan this week.. Staying near East 28th and Park Avenue.
We're doing the "City Pass" stuff. (Empire State Building, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, The Met, Natural History museum, etc.)
Any other 'hidden gems' to go on the Must See (or Must Eat) list? It'll be a quick trip, flying out Tuesday night, returning Saturday afternoon...
Never been there Squirt so I can't help any with your sight seeing...but you two have a safe and fun trip!
This will be my first time as well. Mrs was there a few years ago on a quick trip. Her great-grandparents came over (from Italy) on a boat through Ellis Island, so she wants to look that stuff up..
I just want to walk around and eat these all day!

The Bronx Zoo is a must see. Here is a list of other sites.

My grandparents came from Italy through Ellis Island too. My dad is into genealogy and I bought him copies of the ship manifest for Christmas through Ellis Island.org. It's kind of cool
I'll tell MrsC about the cheesecake. I'm not much into sweets (or cigars, but thanks anyway CRG!).
Really really looking forward to some good NYC Deli food (Pastrami!).
You might wanna look at some real estate while you're up there...
I saw a nice little summer condo there (on TV last night)
I think it was marked all the way down to $24,745,000.00
Who knows? They might trade for A COUPLE OF MILLION PORK BUTTS...(?)
I'll check it out and let you know if you need to fire up the STUMP or not!

Katz's and Shake Shake are on the short list... We're staying not far from one of the SS locations.
