Great forum! I've had a search through to get an answer but can't find anywhere so I'd appreciate some help please.
I have an OBS and the first proving went fine. The first proper "Cook off" didn't! There's no smoke!
The fuse hasn't fused, The light is on, The circuit breaker hasn't kicked in, the slide is beautifully clean and there's no moisture anywhere, it's situated in a log cabin in my garden and the "hot plate" doesn't even get warm. The slide happily dumps briquettes into the pond every 20 Min's though. Any ideas?
My guess is a loose connection inside the smoke generator. Remove the smoke generator. Turn it upside down and remove the perimeters screws. DON'T remove the screws in the middle. Open the smoke generator. It opens like a clamshell. Look for loose connections. Be the way, this will not void any warranty. Hope this helps. Let us know.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. If you got a volt meter and feel comfortable troubleshooting 120 volts AC you may see if the heating element is getting a voltage? But don't do anything you're not comfortable with!
