Got our second competition coming up this weekend. It is another one day event with only ribs and chicken. This is our last one day even before we have our first overnight competition with ribs, chicken, pork and brisket early next month. Hoping to have good results but more importantly a good time. Here is where the competition is in case anyone will be in the area.

Good luck Bryan!
I've got one in three weekends, but first rafting down the Ocoee, then cooking for my fly fishing buddies, then the contest.
Man those ribs look like money to me! Good luck, Bryan. I have little doubt that if you present ribs like the ones shown here that you and your team will be taking the walk at then the end.
Thanks everyone, I will post some pics once it is all said and done. Hopefully they will include some hardware to take home!
I am going to try and post updates and pictures during the day if you are interested in checking in...

Considering the competition is being held at a winery and sponsored by a local brewery that will have a beer garden set-up with free beer to all competitors, this will probably the biggest factor! You hit the nail right on the head!
Someone took a walk didn't they?????

I saw that rumor on facebook :)
Congrats Bryan!
A walk on ribs Way to go Bryan!! Must have been a lot of Adultry Beverages involved with the update process!! ;D ;D Went from heres the tent to the turn in pic. Hope you had fun and can remember it.
A walk! Congrats. I wanna see pics!
The rumors are true. We took 4th in ribs! We had a great time. There was a total of 14 teams. Some pretty good well established ones in our area were competing. Our chicken didn't fair as well, we finished 11th there even though we thought it was pretty good. This competition thing is very addictive. We also sold about 15 bottles of our sauce which we were very happy with.
Here are a few pics. You can check out the rest here...

CRG,
Steve and I both played baseball from little league to college. During the course of the season you go through "slumps" of not playing very well. There are a lot of different things players will do to get out of the slump. They call whatever they do a "Slumpbuster". Now that our baseball careers are well over and done we figured the best way to break the "slump" of everyday life is to cook bbq. Hence the name Slumpbuster BBQ.
I like that!
Again Congrats!
I like the name too! Better luck next time!
Congrats Bryan! Good lookin' ribs!
Excellent!!!!
