I got a few pieces of Black Cod for dinner tonight. I read in a few places that it's great for smoking but I don't have time for that tonight. I'm wondering if anyone has a simple, easy yet super tasty recipe for cooking black cod. I'm still on the fence weather I should pan fry or grill.
You could grill it, basting with butter as you go...
After cooking about half-way done (so your basting action can wipe away the white goo that will probably ooz out), sprinkle with both Lemon Pepper (a good one like Lowry's) and cajun seasoning. Flip, baste, repeat. Just before you pull it, squeeze fresh lime juice all over it. Easy. Tasty. Awrighten.
Thanks Hal but you where too late. We decided to have an Asian inspired dinner. Well, the wife found out that we don't know squat about making asian food. Worst part is that was the fishiest tasting black cod I've ever had. Yuck. Think I'll chuck the rest in the garbage cause I don't think there's enough seasoning in the world to cut through that ditch fish taste.
