Title: First Sausage/Ice Bath
Post by: teague on August 10, 2010, 01:17:40 PM
I only have one probe, it is now in the sausage that is still in the Bradley.  About 5 minutes ago(3:10CST) I put the sausage that wasready in an ice bath.  I know it needs to cool to about 110 degrees, but without having a probe in it, is there an estimate of how long it should take in the ice bath?  Thanks, and I love looking at everyones pics, so if I get a chance (remember) I will post some of mine.  Like I said, this is my first go round, so we'll see!

I just leave it in there for about 30 minutes then take out and wipe off then let it air dry for a couple of hours.

I did my first SS a few weeks ago and just took them out and hung in the pantry.  No bath.  They are great.
