Title: Mrs. Jan's Hash Brown Casserole

I was asked for a copy of Mrs. Jan's hash brown casserole and mac and cheese casserole recipes over in another post so please enjoy!

Jan's Hash Brown Casserole

Ingredients:
24 oz. Ore-Ida frozen Hash Browns
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
8 oz. sour cream
salt and pepper
1 stick margarine

Directions:
Melt margarine in pan.  Briefly sauté onion in the margarine. Remove from heat.  Add cream of mushroom soup and salt & pepper. Blend in sour cream.  In a large bowl, mix the hash browns, margarine-soup mixture and cheese.  Pour into a greased or sprayed casserole dish.  Top with additional cheese.  Bake at 350 for 60 minutes.

Try crushing up a couple cups of corn flakes and melting a 1/4 cup of butter to mix with the corn flakes and then top the hashbrown casserole with this.  It is an excellent addition.
