My grandson received a free Lake Michigan fish charter. Captain Geoff Grainger decided to honor the veterans by having free trips for them and their families. Here is a link to his place. The charter is out of Port Washington, WI

Yes Nepas, you are not the only one who gets something free.

congrats, beautiful sunset
Congrats and it looks like it was fun!
Well done
Looks like you were boating fish to boot
We used to do an annual charter trip in Lake Ontario for trout and salmon
Last trip must have been 15 years ago
The hangover is gone finally but I have a 34 pound king salmon hanging on my rec room wall that I boated that day
Can you eat fish out of that lake? They say you can in ours but I never have
The Lake looks like it was glass that day. A great adventure to say the least.
My breakfast today was a salmon and trout fillet with eggs over easy(no salmonella) and an English muffin. Pretty darn good. The bigger fillets I smoked using Kummok's world famous recipe.

It is OK to eat the fish. The biggest that I caught was 14 lbs and it took 10 minutes to reel in. I am glad it was not a 34 pounder. The captain says that occasionally they will catch a 30 pounder.

I know most of the fish in Florida...but I don't know what that fish is.... tell me please.

Nice hookup, Brad...You didn't go fishing, you went CATCHing!!!
Black gumline is a dead giveaway for a King, Olds......a Springer on the west coast of Canada.....I'm tellin' ya, you gotta hook into one of these things someday!
Kummock,
I completely agree with you. We went catching.
The catch does make a good breakfast.

Oh, you DO know how to live!!
Looks like you had a good time, I am going on one in lake michigan in the middle of Sept...can't wait. Its been a long time since I've been out. I never went on a charter before always took out my own boat when I lived up there, should be a blast.

Make sure that you get back about your trip.
Brad
Hey Brad we had 54 guys in 8 boats and caught three fish total. The guides said it was the worst trip of the year. Had a lot of wind that turned up the water the day/night before we went out and had some pretty rough water while we were out.
Still had a great time though!

Wow that had to suck for the 54 guys!! Albeit the guides still got paid so it wasn't a bad day for them. But That's Fishing!!
