Title: Vent Settings
Post by: TCP on August 22, 2010, 06:21:34 AM
How is one to determine how much the vent on a OBS should be open/closed during a smoke?
I had is wide open yesterday and it looked like Cheech and Chong in their van.  :P

Mine stays 3/4 to wide open ALL the time. The generator makes plenty of smoke.

I agree with pensrock 3/4" - wide open.

Remember Cheech and Chong with the window cracked   --- let the smoke roll!

Not sure mine will move anymore either.  Glued pretty much wide open.

Wide open for poultry and at least half way open for everything else. I usually have mine 3/4's also.
